The short version. Be 13 or older. Post clips you actually filmed. Don't cheat the leaderboard. Don't be a jerk to other riders. We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules.
By making an account or using Sk8 Freak you agree to these terms. Sk8 Freak is operated by Ingenious Digital.
You must be at least 13. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Riders under 16 start with a private profile.
Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per rider. Tell us at hello@sk8freak.com if you think someone else is using it.
Your clips are yours. You keep ownership. By posting, you give us permission to host, display, and distribute that content on Sk8 Freak and in promotion of it — a licence that ends when you delete the content, other than copies already in backups or shared elsewhere.
You confirm that you filmed it or have the right to post it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
Clips are reviewed before they appear publicly. We can decline, remove, or reverse the approval of any clip, and we can suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Every moderation action is logged. If you think we got it wrong, email us and a human will look again.
Individual competitions may add their own rules — entry windows, scoring, eligibility, prizes. Those are published with the competition and apply alongside these terms. We can void an entry we believe was obtained by cheating.
Fingerboards are for fingerboarding. Smart Deck sensor readings are provided as-is and can be affected by battery, pairing, and surface conditions. A sensor-verified score reflects what the hardware reported, not a guarantee.
Sk8 Freak is under active development and provided "as is". We don't promise uninterrupted service, and features may change. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ingenious Digital isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.
You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that should survive termination — content licence for material you haven't deleted, liability, and governing law — do.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
