The short version. We collect what the app needs to work and nothing we can't justify. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and your clips go with it. If you're under 13 you can't sign up, and riders under 16 start with a private profile.

Two reasons, both about protecting younger riders. We refuse signups from anyone under 13. And riders under 16 default to a private profile, which keeps them off public leaderboards and out of search engines unless an adult decision changes that later. We don't use your birthday for advertising.
Sk8 Freak has public pages — leaderboards, competitions, and rider profiles — so the community is visible and findable. What appears there is deliberately limited to your username, avatar, bio, home park, tier, stats, and approved clips.
Your email address, date of birth, password hash, and session tokens are never shown on a public page. If you set your profile to private, you disappear from public pages entirely.
Every clip is reviewed before it appears publicly. Until it's approved it isn't on the feed, a public profile, or the leaderboard. Media is stored in private object storage and served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs.
We don't sell your personal data and we don't share it for advertising. We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service — hosting, object storage, and email delivery. They process data on our instructions only.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use server-side tokens you can revoke by logging out. Password-reset links are single-use, expire in 24 hours, and log out every existing session when used. All traffic is served over HTTPS.
If we make a meaningful change to this policy we'll say so on the site rather than quietly editing the page.
